Malaysian Citizen. He has almost 20 years of experience in various asset management companies. He is a Chief Executive Officer of Maybank Asset Management Malaysia Berhad since January 2014 and currently served as Commissioner of PT Maybank Asset Management since 3 April 2017. Previously he has experience covers both traditional and sharia/ethical mandates and he has worked on both sides of the business - retail and institutional such as HLG Asset Management Sdn Bhd, Commerce Asset Fund Managers Sdn Bhd, Avenue Asset Management Sdn Bhd, Tune Money Capital Sdn Bhd and CIMB Investment Management Berhad. At CIMB-Principal Asset Management Berhad, he was heavily engaged in the restructuring and rehabilitating of portfolios. Prior to joining Maybank AM, he was the Chief Investment Officer of CIMB Investment Management Berhad. He graduated from New York University, USA with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Finance and Economics in 1996. He is the holder of the Capital Markets & Services Representative's License (CMSRL) issued by the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) under the Capital Market & Services.
